Pizza tasting, dough throwing and live music kick off the Great Bath Feast at Green Park Station as the #BigBathBite celebrates the launch of the venue's exciting new food quarter.
Green Park Station will show off its new food traders in partnership with Bath Pizza Co and the Bath Instagram Community on Saturday 1st October, the opening day of the Great Bath Feast.
Bath Pizza Co invite you to join them for free pizza tasting and dough throwing from 11am to 12pm, as well as Kozel beer sampling, a feast for the eyes and stomach!
The ever-popular Bath Farmers’ Market will run alongside the launch from 9am through to 1.30pm with an amazing spread of locally grown produce - all grown within 40 miles of Bath. Stalls and independent shops packed high with quirky antiques, artisan goods and homemade delicacies will line the station as part of the weekly Saturday market, perfect for rummaging whilst you take in the sights and smells of the day! The Big Bath Bite will be accompanied by live music next to Bath Pizza Co.
From 12pm to 1pm Manna from Avon, the latest addition to the Bath street food scene, will be sharing some of their Eastern delights. To wash it all down, pay a visit to the new boutique wine den Wolf Wine on the walkway, between 1pm and 2pm to try some of owner Sam’s heartiest recommendations. Finally, if you’re still hungry for more, join Eberico from 2pm until 3pm to see out the event in Spanish style. Owner Beatriz will be serving free tasters of her most popular authentic products from mainland Spain; delicious chorizo, oils, olives and much more. Enjoy all of this tasty grub to the sweet sounds of Mark the Rez as he spins vinyl from the open doors of his new record store, Resolution Records. The perfect DJ set to see you through the afternoon food coma!
The Instagram Bath community will be running an Instameet at the Big Bath Bite, recording the best bits of the event via photographs and social media. All you need to do to get involved is bring your phone and get snapping!

Rebecca Leach, Marketing and Venue Manager at Green Park Station, commented, “Bath has needed an affordable and delicious street food hub for a long time, much like the success stories of its Bristol and London counterparts. Our new food quarter embraces local culinary heroes and rejects food snobbery. We’re talking big flavours and fresh ingredients cooked quickly before your eyes, with modest price tags to boot. Visit our markets and you can now choose from an enviable range of authentic hot dishes from the aromatic, spicy and fruity to the rich, creamy and tender. Whatever tickles your taste buds, the time has come to swop your corner shop meal deal for some proper nosh.”

Bath Pizza Co, whose recent launch was in part inspired by the Bath Farmers’ Market to create a local menu, will be offering free pizza slices and the chance to learn to throw dough. Look out for samples of Ted’s Wild Game, Homewood Three Cheeses and Northend Farmer’s Veg featuring Cranborne Chase venison, Homewood’s artisan cheese and Chris Rich’s finest veg selection. Customers tagging their pictures with #socialslice will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win two free pizzas of their choice.
“We’ve got some great producers on our doorstep and we’re really excited to be creating a pizza menu based on Somerset’s fantastic artisan goods” enthused Alex Peters of Bath Pizza Co, adding “we’re fresh, local and bespoke. We don’t buy into the frozen pre-made game that the big boys of the pizza world play. We’re really excited to be offering a local, healthier and better product - and the wood-fired flavours from our oven are fantastic!”
