If you’re a dog owner in Bath, working out where you can or can’t go for a drink or some food with your dog can be a pain. Some Bath establishments are pooch friendly while others are simply unable to accommodate them.

However, we’re pleased to have been dog friendly since we opened in March 2016.

Bath is home to some excellent pubs and cafes where you take your dog - both in the city centre and slightly further afield, on the outskirts of Bath’s town centre.

We host customers every week and their dogs and thought we’d put together some useful tips for planning a trip out to a restaurant/pub/bar/cafe with your dog. Big thanks to some of our regular dog loving customers who suggested some of these key tips.

Don’t be afraid to ask for water

At Bath Pizza Co we’re dog friendly and have several dog bowls available to fill up for thirsty dogs. Just speak to our friendly team at the bar and we’ll ensure they’re well watered - let us know if they need a refill.

Always, always check ahead

Do call in advance. There’s nothing worse than either having to leave your dog outside or turning home if the establishment you’re hoping to have a drink or meal at can’t accommodate them. Some restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes have this information on their website too.

Locate the nearest “facilities” for your dog

No-one likes unexpectedly stepping in a puddle. We’re a stone’s throw from the spacious park - “Green Park” which is a minute walk from our seating area. It’s always worth a brief stroll before arriving at the premises, wherever you’re headed.

Feeding you dog

One of our suppliers, Marshfield Farm Ice Cream are now making a dog friendly ice cream - so watch this space for the summer months as we may be stocking “Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs.”

Scoops ice cream for dogs includes: Glucosamine, ideal for your dog’s joint care, Hemp oil (rich in Omega 3) for a glossy coat, Vitamin C, a fundamental for your pets immune system and Curcumin, a natural anti inflammatory.

Nearby walks

Some of Bath’s restaurants pubs and cafes have amazing footpaths and walks available on their door-step. One or two establishments also have printed walking guides so you can really make a day of it. A couple of our favourites which have handy local walking guides are The Packhorse Pub in Southstoke and The Hare & Hounds up on Lansdown.

Children love watching their pizza being made in front of them here at Bath Pizza Co. Grab a slice, kick back and let the kids run about here at Green Park Station.
